Visa Services

The Embassy of India in Ashgabat issues different categories of visas to Turkmen citizens and foreign nationals residing in Turkmenistan. All visa applicants must submit their applications online and follow the guidelines mentioned below.

Visa Categories:

• Tourist Visa: For travel, sightseeing, and casual visits. Valid up to 1 year with multiple entries.
• Business Visa: For business meetings, partnerships, and trade. Requires invitation from Indian company.
• Student Visa: For pursuing academic studies in recognized institutions in India. Admission proof required.
• Medical Visa: For treatment in recognized hospitals/clinics. Medical documents required.
• Employment / Conference / Research Visas: As per specific eligibility and documentation.

How to Apply:

1. Fill the online visa application form at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/
2. Print and sign the completed form.
3. Submit the application at the Embassy along with supporting documents and photographs.
4. Pay the visa fee in USD as per category.

Documents Required (Generic):

• Completed and signed visa application form
• Passport (minimum 6 months validity)
• Recent passport-size photograph (2 copies)
• Residence visa or permit (for non-Turkmen nationals)
• Category-specific documents (invitation, admission letter, medical records, etc.)

Processing Time: Normally 3–5 working days. May vary based on category and nationality.

Note: Visa issuance is subject to approval by competent authorities. Submission of application does not guarantee visa grant.
